๐Ÿงพ General Offenses โ€‹

1. Contempt of Court โ€‹

Definition: Failure to comply with a lawful order from a judge in an official court proceeding.

Penalty: Up to 7 days of pearl time or a 16-diamond fine per instance.


2. Obstruction of Justice โ€‹

Definition: Interfering with court proceedings, destroying or tampering with evidence, or lying to federal or state investigators during an official investigation.

Penalty: Up to 7 days of pearl time and a 16-diamond fine per count.


3. Perjury โ€‹

Definition: Intentionally making false statements during an official judicial proceeding.

Penalty: Up to 7 days of pearl time and a 16-diamond fine per count.


4. Obstruction of an Official Proceeding โ€‹

Definition: Preventing or interfering with a state or federal official from lawfully undertaking official business.

Penalty: Up to 7 days of pearl time and a 16-diamond fine per count.


5. Trespassing โ€‹

Definition: Unlawful entry onto federal property.

Penalty: Up to 7 days of pearl time and a 16-diamond fine per count.

6. Vandalism / Griefing โ€‹

Definition: Unlawful destruction or defacement of state, federal, or private property.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling, plus a fine equal to the full value of destruction, and up to 16 diamonds per count.


7. Breaking and Entering โ€‹

Definition: Unlawful forced entry into state, federal, or private property.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling, plus the full value of destruction, and up to 16 diamonds per count.


8. Destruction of Property โ€‹

Definition: Unlawful destruction of another individualโ€™s items, livestock, or property.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling, plus the full value of destruction, and up to 16 diamonds per count.


9. Theft โ€‹

Definition: Unlawful taking of another individualโ€™s private possessions.

Classifications:

  • Petty Larceny (Under 64 diamonds) โ€ข Up to 2 weeks of pearling โ€ข Fine equal to stolen value + up to 16 diamonds
  • Grand Larceny (Over 64 diamonds) โ€ข Up to 1 month of pearling โ€ข Fine equal to stolen value + up to 32 diamonds

10. Murder โ€‹

Definition: The unlawful killing of another person.

Penalty: Up to 1 week of pearling and a 16-diamond fine per count.


11. Manslaughter โ€‹

Definition: Causing another personโ€™s death through negligence or illegal action.

Penalty: Up to 1 week of pearling and a 16-diamond fine.


๐Ÿชถ Special Criminal Offenses โ€‹

12. Unlawful Pearling โ€‹

Definition: Pearling another individual without legal justification.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling and a 32-diamond fine per count.

A pearling of an Imperial Citizen outside wartime must meet at least one of the following conditions:

  1. A valid federal warrant issued by a Federal Judge, Monarch, Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, or Head of Defense
  • The warrant must specify the suspect, crime, and authorized parties.
  1. Authorization by a state-level warrant or direct approval from a state leader.
  2. The pearler witnessed the crime firsthand.
  3. The pearler acted on behalf of a firsthand witness unable to perform the pearling.

After pearling, the suspect must be promptly handed over to authorities.


13. Evading Arrest โ€‹

Definition: Fleeing or hiding from authorized individuals after being informed of a valid legal warrant.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling and a 16-diamond fine.


14. Witness Intimidation and Retaliation โ€‹

Definition: Threats, harassment, or crimes committed against witnesses involved in legal proceedings.

  • Intimidation: Minimum 1 week of pearl time
  • Retaliation: Minimum 2 weeks of pearl time

15. Bribery of Public Officials โ€‹

Definition: Offering, giving, or soliciting anything of value to influence a public official.

Penalty: Minimum 64-diamond fine (or twice the bribe amount), and possible disqualification from office for up to 40 days.


16. Abuse of Office / Dereliction of Duty โ€‹

Definition: A federal official using their position for personal gain or refusing to perform official duties.

Penalty: Fine at judicial discretion; removal or disqualification from office for up to 40 days for serious or repeat offenses.


17. Forgery โ€‹

Definition: Creating, altering, or using false documents, signatures, or seals for fraudulent purposes.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling and a minimum 32-diamond fine.


18. Bribery or Manipulation of Judicial Proceedings โ€‹

Definition: Attempting to bribe or improperly influence a judge, jury, or witness.

Penalty: Minimum 64-diamond fine and 80-day disqualification from judicial or legal office.


19. Unauthorized Surveillance / Illegal Snitching โ€‹

Definition: Recording, tracking, or reporting on Imperial Citizens without consent or legal authority.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling, mandatory destruction of collected data, and a 64-diamond fine.

Severe cases may be treated as espionage, terrorism, or a high crime.


20. Sedition โ€‹

Definition: Inciting or participating in rebellion or violent opposition against the Imperial Federation.

Penalty: Up to 1 month of pearling and a minimum 64-diamond fine.


21. Obstruction of Imperial Property โ€‹

Definition: Blocking or sabotaging federal land or infrastructure.

Penalty: Up to 1 week of pearling and a 32-diamond fine.


22. Unauthorized Military Action โ€‹

Definition: Waging armed conflict or organizing militias without Imperial approval.

Penalty: Treated as terrorism or a high crime, potentially handled by a Special Military Tribunal.


23. Illegal Bountying โ€‹

Definition: Placing a bounty on an Imperial Citizen without Imperial authorization.

Penalty: Up to 1 week of pearling and a minimum 64-diamond fine (or twice the bounty amount).


24. Illegal Mining โ€‹

Definition: Unauthorized mining by foreigners or mining within restricted areas.

Penalty: Up to 1 week of pearling, a 32-diamond fine, or confiscation of mined materials.


25. Electoral Interference โ€‹

Definition: Coercing, bribing, or forcing a citizen to vote in a specific manner.

Penalty: Up to 1 week of pearling, a 32-diamond fine, and disqualification from public office for 40 days.


26. Violation of Federal Restrictions โ€‹

Definition: Engaging in prohibited activities such as unauthorized construction or restricted use of federal land.

Penalty: Up to 1 week of pearling, a 32-diamond fine, and mandatory correction at the violatorโ€™s expense.

27. Criminal Conspiracy โ€‹

Definition: Two or more individuals planning to commit a federal crime.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling and a 32-diamond fine per count.


28. Aiding and Abetting โ€‹

Definition: Assisting another individual in the commission of a crime.

Penalty: Up to 2 weeks of pearling and a 32-diamond fine per count.


๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ High Crimes โ€‹

29. Treason โ€‹

Definition: Betrayal of the Imperial Federation or aiding foreign or hostile entities.

Penalty:Indefinite pearling and a fine determined by the presiding judge.


30. Espionage โ€‹

Definition: Collecting or distributing confidential information for foreign or hostile entities.

Penalty:Indefinite pearling and a fine determined by the presiding judge.


31. Terrorism โ€‹

Definition: Use of violence or threats against citizens for malicious or foreign agendas, including conspiracy against the Imperial Federation.

Penalty:Indefinite pearling and a fine at government recommendation.


32. War Crimes โ€‹

Definition: Crimes committed against non-combatants or civilian property during military operations, including obby-bombing civilian areas.

Penalty:Indefinite pearling, a fine, and mandatory reconstruction or cleanup.


Sentencing and Trials High crimes are adjudicated by the Federal Judiciary or a Special Military Tribunal, depending on severity and jurisdiction.
